Tomball’s second annual Bugs, Brew & Barbecue has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, adjacent to Depot Plaza, 201 South Elm Street. The original event was rained-out in late September.
Tomball Marketing Director Mike Baxter said the event will have a more central location around The Depot this year. It will feature 10 or more Texas craft breweries, classic VW “bugs” and or course barbecue.
Baxter said more than 50 classic VW “bugs” from the North Houston Volkswagen Club will be on display near Depot Plaza in downtown Tomball. Beetles, vans, Ghias and dune buggies, swap-meeters and more will be on-site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the corner of Main and S. Walnut Streets.
Cisco’s Salsa Company will be pouring more than 30 craft brews from Texas breweries such as: Southern Star, Karbach, No Label, St. Arnold, Shiner, Real Ale, Alamo, Independence, and Rahr & Sons.
Meet and talk craft beer with representatives from several Texas craft breweries. A special Bugs, Brew & Barbecue souvenir mug will be available, too.
Tomball’s own Original Rib Tickler and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will be serving pulled pork and chopped brisket sandwiches, sausage and more.
Baxter said this year’s event will also feature several vendors selling handmade crafts.
Live music runs from noon to 6 p.m. with CCR tribute band “Unfortunate Sons”, and classic rock band “The Bottle Rockers.”
The Kids Zone will be filled with free activities such as pony rides, petting zoo, bounce house and more.
Admission and parking are free.
“There will be a good variety of things for folks to do,” Baxter said. “We hope everyone comes out will come out and celebrate cars, music, and just having a great time in the community.”
